## Position Overview: Accountant
This role is integral to our financial operations, requiring a proactive individual who is ready to bridge the gap between financial reporting and field-level aquaculture operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records while gaining hands-on insight into our high-tech breeding processes.
## Key Responsibilities
As an Accountant at the Nila Breeding Center, your primary duties will include:
* Financial Reporting: Managing daily transaction records and preparing comprehensive financial statements.
* Cost Management: Calculating cultivation costs, including feed, seed, and operational expenses, as well as determining the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
* Asset Monitoring: Tracking inventory and managing biological assets, specifically monitoring fish stock within our cultivation ponds.
* Partnership Accounting: Overseeing records related to partnerships and profit-sharing distributions.
* Data Analysis: Conducting cost control assessments and variance analysis to monitor operational efficiency.
* Performance Metrics: Preparing detailed profit reports for each pond per production cycle to support executive management decision-making.
## Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Accounting or Finance.
2. Experience: At least one year of professional experience in Accounting or Costing.
3. Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with industry-standard accounting software.
4. Analytical Skills: High level of accuracy, strong attention to detail, and a logical approach to problem-solving.
5. Adaptability: A willingness to engage with field operations to gain a deep understanding of fish farming cycles.
6. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Note: Previous experience within the fisheries or manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
