PT Medco Power Indonesia is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the team as a Field Operator. This role is essential for maintaining the operational excellence and safety standards that define the organization’s reputation in the power sector.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Operator, you will be the backbone of daily plant functionality. Your core duties will include:
* Operational Oversight: Managing plant operations during routine and emergency scenarios.
* Coordination: Working closely with the Unit Controller to ensure seamless daily performance.
* On-Site Supervision: Providing consistent supervision outside the control room during normal operations and during active incident responses.
* Emergency Response: Reporting immediately to the control room during unit trips or upon direction from shift leadership to support critical incident handling.
* System Start-ups: Assisting the Unit Controller or Assistant Unit Controller during planned start-up procedures based on technical urgency.
* Local Control: Operating equipment via local control interfaces while following instructions from the Central Control Room.
* Documentation: Compiling and submitting daily operational logs while monitoring the system for any abnormalities.
* Field Audits: Conducting systematic inspections to ensure physical site conditions align with digital process data.
Candidate Requirements
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and professional background:
* Educational Background: Minimum of a Diploma (D3) degree.
* Professional Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as an operator within a power plant, heavy equipment, or utility environment.
* Technical Knowledge:
* Preferred background in electrical systems, with a focus on high-voltage operations.
* Solid understanding of mechanical systems, including rotating equipment, hydraulics, and bearings.
* Competencies: Exceptional logical reasoning and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
* Communication: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
* Location: Candidates must be willing to accept a permanent assignment in North Sulawesi, operating under a non-roster arrangement.
